During the class

After a technique has been demonstrated and Sensei signals that the class should practice, you should bow to the Sensei. Immediately pick a training partner, bow to each other. This is to remind you that you only borrow you partners body to practice with, they want it back as they have given it to you.

If Sensei shows you something during practice you should sit in seiza as they talk or demonstrate and always bow when he or she has finished the explanation.
